Can BAEZ get me a UAE driving licence without a test?
No — a practical driving test is required unless your foreign licence qualifies for direct conversion. We handle the application paperwork, eligibility check and submission; the actual lessons and test, where required, are conducted by RTA-authorised driving institutes.
Which foreign licences can be converted without a test?
Several countries have reciprocal agreements with the UAE allowing direct conversion, while others require a test. This list can change, so rather than guess, tell us your licence's country of issue and we'll confirm your eligibility before you apply.
Do I need to clear traffic fines before selling my vehicle?
Generally, yes — outstanding fines typically need to be cleared before an ownership transfer can be completed. We check this as part of preparing your transfer, so there are no surprises at the last step.
How does vehicle ownership transfer work?
Once both parties agree on the sale, the vehicle needs a valid passing certificate (where required), cleared fines, and a formal transfer application at RTA. We prepare and submit this on your behalf so the new registration is issued correctly.
Is Salik separate from vehicle registration?
Yes — Salik is Dubai's toll system and is linked to your vehicle but managed separately from registration and licensing. If you need help setting up or troubleshooting a Salik account alongside another RTA transaction, let us know and we'll advise.
