No — that's the defining feature of the programme. It's self-sponsored, so you don't need an employer or Emirati sponsor to hold or renew it.
Can I sponsor my family under my Golden Visa?

What does it cost?

Is the Golden Visa the same as citizenship?
No — it's a long-term residence permit, not a path to a UAE passport. UAE citizenship is a separate, much narrower process with its own criteria.
What happens if my qualifying investment or job changes?
