How early should I renew my trade license?
We recommend starting the renewal process before your license expires, since trading on an expired license can lead to fines. Send us your license a few weeks ahead of the expiry date and we'll handle the timing for you.
Can I add a new business activity to my existing license?
In most cases, yes — activity amendments are one of the most common DET transactions we handle. Some activities require additional external approvals depending on the sector; we'll confirm this for your specific case before starting.
What is a holiday home permit and do I need one?
If you plan to rent out a residential property short-term to tourists or visitors, DET's tourism department requires a holiday home permit separate from a standard trade license. We can assess your property and guide you through this specific application.
Does changing my trade name affect my other documents?
